Meet Karla

A dancer, teacher and performer shaped by movement, music and curiosity.

The Dance Story

I started dancing back in 2008 with Zuzana Uhlirova in Zagreb, Croatia, then became part of the Bastet school, and later Ritam Plesa and the Meral dance group under Nina Stepić. That’s where my first steps into teaching and professional performances began.

In 2019, I moved to London, where I continued learning from international teachers and began regularly teaching dance classes and performing. In 2023, I pursued an MA in Professional Acting from Drama Studio London. In 2024, I moved back to my hometown Zagreb.

Over the years, I have trained with world-renowned teachers at festivals, workshops, and private lessons. Some of them include: Randa Kamel, Mohamed Shahin, Khaled Mahmoud, Assala Ibrahim, Nada El Masriya, Oxana Bazaeva, Shahrzad, Jillina, Esmeralda, Azad Kaan, Mercedes Nieto, Brenda, Julia Farid, and many others.

I have also studied other dances from the Middle East and North Africa such as: Saiidi, Alexandrian, Balady, Lebanese Dabke, Kawleeya, Hachaa, Khaleegy, as well as other dance styles including ballet, jazz dance, salsa, bachata, modern, tribal, Bollywood, and tango.

Do you have any questions for me? I want to hear from you.

Karla is a member of Equity.
